Retreats

Students in the school and religious education programs who are preparing to receive a sacrament participate in a retreat as a part of their preparation. Also, there are students in the high school youth ministry that help as facilitators for these retreats.

The First Reconciliation Retreat consists of songs, games, crafts, and activities with the theme of “In Search of the Lost Sheep.”

The First Communion Retreat consists of songs, games, crafts, and activities with the theme of “Loaves and Fishes.”

The Confirmation Retreat includes upbeat music, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, witness talks from peers and adult members of the parish, activities to build community, and service projects.

Eucharistic Adoration

All students at Queen of All Saints School participate in Eucharistic adoration throughout the school year. Following an all school Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in a monstrance on the altar for adoration.

We believe the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ is present at this time, and classes from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 take turns spending some time with Jesus throughout the morning.

Living Stations

Each year during Lent, students at Queen of All Saints School perform a Living Stations of the Cross with students from the 7th grade and 8th grade, portraying the events leading up to and including the crucifixion of Jesus.

The Student Praise Choir accompanies each station with an appropriate hymn. The students present two performances each year, which the entire parish is invited to attend.

It is a very moving and prayerful event.

Living Rosary

October is the month of the Holy Rosary, and at Queen of All Saints, we use this opportunity to introduce our students in the school and religious education program to the devotion of praying the Rosary.

The Living Rosary is made of 61 students, each representing a bead. Each student leads the prayer associated with his or her position in the Rosary. The leader makes the Sign of the Cross, Leads the Hail Holy Queen, and gives a brief reflection on each of the mysteries. Students conclude the devotion with a hymn to Our Blessed Mother.
