WELCOME TO SCRIP

What is scrip? Scrip is a program that allows you to purchase gift certificates/cards from various retailers and merchants at QAS. The gift certificates/cards can be used at the retailer like cash.

Does it cost more buying at QAS instead of my local retailer? NO! If you purchase a $10.00 scrip gift certificate/card, $10.00 is the value of the card. There are no hidden fees or surcharges.

What is the advantage, or why should I buy gift certificates/cards at QAS? The three most common reasons are the convenience of “one stop shopping”, a percentage of each sale is applied to your child’s tuition/fees for the next academic year, and a percentage of each sale raises funds for the school.

How does purchasing scrip gift certificates/cards help you and QAS? QAS is willing to apply 50% of the profit toward your tuition and 50% will go to the school. For example, beside each merchant listed on the scrip order form is a percent. Hacienda, listed under restaurants on the order form has gift certificates/cards available in $10.00 denominations and “10%” listed next to its name. For every $10.00 scrip gift certificate/card purchased, $1.00 is profit: .50 is applied towards your student tuition/fees for the next academic year and .50 goes to QAS.

How do I order scrip gift certificates/cards? You may pick up forms at the scrip office, school office, or a form is sent home in the brown envelope. Complete the form and return with payment to scrip office.

Where is the scrip office located and what are the hours? The office is located in Thor’s Store next to the school office. Hours are 8:00 – 9:30am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Does Meijer participate? Meijer has their own program. They use a swipe card. Please pick up an application and get additional information at the scrip office.

REMEMBER: Scrip gift certificates/cards are excellent presents for birthdays, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparent’s Day (Sept. 10^th), etc. and scrip is great to have in the house or car for those unexpected trips to the grocery store, restaurant or hardware store! Have extra forms on hand for your friends and coworkers any time of year!
